Visa Requirements

A visa is required to travel to Ghana. Please visit https://ghanaembassydc.org/visa/ for more information. Please note that Luxe Compass Travel does not provide visas; it is the traveler's responsibility to obtain one. However, we are available to assist you. Smart Traveler Enrollment Program (STEP)

Please enroll in the Smart Traveler Enrollment Program (STEP) https://travel.state.gov/content/travel.html. Smart Traveler Enrollment Program (STEP) is a free service to allow U.S. citizens and nationals to enroll their trip abroad so the Department of State can accurately and quickly contact them in case of emergency.

Vaccinations and Health Information

Currency

The local currency is the Ghanaian cedi (GHS). Many places als accept US dollars, but it’s advisable to carry local currency for smaller transactions.
